2020 Year in Review
This past year was a busy year, including the roll-out of our new Membership structure and many notable accomplishments, despite the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are the highlights.
Built our Membership rolls from 72 to 182.
Merged the remaindered assets of the Overbrook Farms Foundation (about $6,000) into the OFC.
Obtained nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity status.
Held two community meetings focused on conflict resolution, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Assumed management of the Farmers Market and served ca. 4,000 customers.
Secured a Members-only wholesale relationship with Sam Brown’s Nursery.
Facilitated Zoning-related input for 2079-2097 North 63rd Street & 6367 Lancaster Ave “Lincoln Court”.
Provided input on Zoning and use for 6399 Drexel Road and St. Joseph University’s Master Plan.
Conducted an updated survey of streets and public safety issues for submission to the City.

2021 Fundraising Budget
As 2020 draws to a close, we are looking to raise $5,000 to support the following needs in 2021:
Zoning & Land Use Legal Fund - As development pressures on our neighborhood continue to mount, we find ourselves needed to consult legal counsel more frequently. Pro bono legal support is very hard to find today, in particular in the area of zoning and land use.
New Signage - We wish to continue the work of replacing our welcome signage in the neighborhood, focusing on evergreen and low-maintenance street-level signage (no banners).
Public Safety Costs - Finally, with the City’s budget strapped by the pandemic, it is likely that we will need to assume costs for speed cushions and other public safety needs that we have identified.
