Overbrook Farms Club
The Overbrook Farms Club (OFC), founded in 1892, is the oldest civic association in the United States serving one of the first planned communities in the country. Overbrook Farms was financed by the Drexel Syndicate and developed by the firm of Wendell & Smith between 1892 and 1929. Our neighborhood catchment runs 58th Street to 66th Street, City Avenue to Woodbine Avenue, and includes the 6400 and 6600 blocks of Woodcrest Avenue and Morris Park Road.
Today the OFC is our neighborhood's Registered Community Organization ("RCO"), which means that we are the official voice of the community for City representatives and regulators. These usually relate to issues of zoning, land use, and licensing. We are also responsible for leading efforts to beautify the community, organize neighborhood events and dialogue, promote public safety, and generally improve amenities and quality of life for our residents.
The OFC is a membership organization, which means that as a member, you participate in electing the board, as well as contribute to the wellbeing of our neighborhood through your input on vital issues, volunteerism, charitable donations, and other support.
